I'm really working on getting my blogging mojo back. I guess the ease of Instagram is working against me, lol. I post quicker and it's not so much well..work. Now don't get me wrong I love my blog. I'm thrilled to still have so many following my ramblings. I will work on posting once a week.  Enough of that. Has anyone gotten any awesome goodies lately? I went to my first flea market/thrift shopping of the season. I found some vintage ladies that need some cleaning. I have my work cut out for me with this bunch. I hope I can get them clean with the least amount of hassle. I will work on getting my list of ideas here on the blog. Until next week

Hello everyone. The clearing out is still ongoing. I've been listing items on ebay since I have time. I'm out on strike so on my down days I sell. I'd rather be working but hey... Not new news to some but there are new Barbie's out there. The Fashionistas now come with Petite, Curvy, & Tall bodies. My wishlist included a couple. I looked over the ladies long and hard but decided on four. My wonderful man bought me the ladies on my list to lift my spirits. This had the desired effect he was going for. These are the 4 ladies I decided I wanted with the new bodies.  They are from left to right: Spring Into Style, Dolled Up Denim, Fab Fringe, & Terrific Teal.   My favorite is the curly redheaded beauty. Imagine my surprise when I realized she really doesn't match her body.  The hunt is on for a new body. I know the MTM (made to move) seems to work but I'm not sure if that's the body I want for her. I chose two for their uniqueness. ...

I know this was back in June and I'm slow as molasses but I'm catching up. I was tagged by my friend Georgia Girl over at Pink Obsession a while back. I was also nominated by my friend Dana over at A Philly Collector of Playscale Dolls And Action Figures . I finally looked at what I was supposed to do so here it goes.  The rules are as follows: 1. This post is to highlight those ladies in my collection who are searching for bodies. I am always on the lookout for articulated bodies. I need movement these days for anyone to stay. If I really love a doll I will behead her/him and the quest will begin. It's always great when a new lady (and at times gents) find a new body. This is the limbo they sit in until their grail is found I'm not sure which site I got the idea to use a thread spool rack for heads but it's awesome. I picked this one up on sale from Wally World's site to store sale. I think it holds 120. I also have a smaller one that holds 33. That one is for heads I decide can leave the island. Here are some closeups of who's on the rack for the moment. Yes that is Declan's head on the top. I do have his body but have been lazy in putting him right LOL I'll try to remember a post about the luck winners of the body lottery. There have been some winners lately :O)

Getting sidetracked is not the end of the world..thank goodness :O)  I've been behaving myself and working hard on sticking to my goal of only adding 40 dolls this year. I should mention my very own loophole ( insert evil laugh ). I will buy something if it's on sale and has something I really want. Case in point I found this set a couple of weeks ago.  Sisters' Fun Day set I really love Skipper in this set. Everything from her hair to her boots scream YES to me. I bought this set but Barbie is leaving the island (naked of course). I also will be swapping Skipper's body.  I found these dolls in one of my shopping looks. They are a group called 5th Harmony. I just looked but only one came home with me. This doll has the cutest complete design outfits. The doll is in the go pile. I see lots of things while I'm out shopping but these days I'm a lot more picky in what I will buy. I'm not a fan of what I call cheap fabrics and one sided designs...

I have had the pleasure in the last year to add a "grail" doll or two to my collection. I must preface this by saying I just replied to a question in December stating "I no longer have a grail list" LOL. I came across these two beauties this month by accident. In the '90's I loved all things Barbie. I still have a twinge here and there for my girl. At the end of 1999 there was a Classical Goddess Collection showcased. I say 1999 even though everything says 2000/1. I remember the pics of the Goddess of Spring. I fell in love with all that long curly strawberry blonde hair Promo Goddess of Spring  Can you see the gorgeous there. The finished product was not the same as the promo pic. I wasn't in any rush to buy her. When Wisdom was produced I still didn't jump. I don't know why I didn't get them then.  Fast forward 14 years and I found her. The price one ebay had to be a mistake. Yes, it has been a while since I posted. I allowed myself to get sidetracked by all sorts of things. I was ill for a moment but I have been adding to my collection. I think I added quite a few dolls to the mix as I recovered. I will say that 2014 was a very good year for me. I know I said I was ill but it was still very good. I made no resolutions for this year. OK so I've been behaving myself lately. I joined The WClub (of course I did) but decided against Barbie Collector this year. I've had a steady love affair with the pink aisle since 1995. Lately I have felt no love for what has been offered in the Barbie world. I have been able to resist buying a lot of the offerings for a while.  So my faux pas falls into the 60% off clearance sale going on @TRU. Now wait before you chuckle and say she went on a binge I knew it.  I did but a small one of sorts..LOL  I was only looking for Neighthan Rot when I went in.  As you can see I found him and some other things :O) I had to get Jasper once I checked the scanner price and it said $10.80. I love his hair, I was looking for Emmett too at this price. I wanted the Divergent guy but definitely didn't like his original price tag. If you've been following my boring blog , LOL, you know I've been working on clearing out my clutter. In the midst of all this clearing & selling I've been finding things I have been searching for. It's so much fun finding lost loves.  Case in point: I have a love hate relationship with Skin Is In Kyori. I loved her when I bought her originally from my dealer but a few years later when Living Dangerously Kyori came along Skin was on my sell list. Imagine my surprise when I started having a longing for Skin. I've been checking ebay for them constantly for a decent price.  I was shocked further when today I discovered Sin (her new name) in a container I haven't thought about in quite some time. Sin will be getting an upgrade since her original body has yellowed. I'm in love with her and I didn't have to buy another!!   My story doesn't end with Sin. I can't believe it's been so long since I posted.  Time sure flies and I've been having fun. I have so much to catch up on, some old some new. I know you're all curious about the tit le so let's get to it.. So last week or was that two weeks ago Kmart had the unheard of Buy 1 Get 1 Free on all Barbie and they meant ALL. I ran to the Big K to see what was left. I missed out on my first $20 discount on BC.com but Kmart so made up for it. The beauty was no shipping costs :O) So I managed to get the following goodies Look dolls & outfits Katniss, Look clothing, & Spain I paid for the dolls first then the clothing .  I found and bought t he Look dolls f or $24.99 and the outfits for $19.99. Katniss was on sale for $24.99 from $32. Katniss and Spain were $24.99 and the outfits the same as the first set. So I spent $90 on what would cost well over $190 (remember Katniss was on sale).
