Off With Their Heads...

This post is to highlight those ladies in my collection who are searching for bodies. I am always on the lookout for articulated bodies. I need movement these days for anyone to stay. If I really love a doll I will behead her/him and the quest will begin. It's always great when a new lady (and at times gents) find a new body. This is the limbo they sit in until their grail is found
I'm not sure which site I got the idea to use a thread spool rack for heads but it's awesome. I picked this one up on sale from Wally World's site to store sale. I think it holds 120. I also have a smaller one that holds 33. That one is for heads I decide can leave the island.

 Here are some closeups of who's on the rack for the moment. Yes that is Declan's head on the top. I do have his body but have been lazy in putting him right LOL







 I'll try to remember a post about the luck winners of the body lottery. There have been some winners lately :O)

    I store my heads on that rack as well! I do like looking at them and adding to the collection (2 120-racks so far). My family thinks it's very creepy to just have a collection of heads but, whatevs.

      Two racks wow. I may need to get another myself. I need the backup lol. Not creepy to me at all.

      This is the easiest way to keep track of who I have. When I get a body I always go to the rack to find out if it matches.

      Thanks. I do have bodies that I need to match but I've been lazy lol. I'm trying to keep on the clearing out part of my plan. I'll take all the blessings I can get and blessings back to you :O)

    Wow... such beautiful heads, and a lot! If I had those, I can't sleep a single night knowing I know I need to get bodies for them soon! hahahha me and my self--diagnosed OCD. But I love that thread rack alternative! Awesome!

    They almost look like a sculpture sitting there. And just having heads without bodies must save a lot of space. I hope you find new bodies as you need them.

    Love this storage idea for doll heads. For me, the creep factor is too mild to be bothersome. I had fun trying to see how many of the heads in the photos I could identify : )

    I love this idea. No creepy factor for me, either. They are heads a-waiting bodies. Neatly arranged.

    WOW! That is a lot of heads! I rebodied many of my dolls too on articulated bodies. I was able to use a few Disney and Liv bodies along with mostly fashionista bodies found at thrift stores. I.T. dolls are harder to match. I only have two waiting for bodies. Good luck on finding bodies and keep us posted!

I was talked into going to Englishtown (flea market) and boy am I glad I went. I wasn't enthusiastic at first since we were leaving  after noon which means all the good stuff is usually gone. I didn't take a ton of money but for about $20 I found some goodies I'm proud of.  My 1st find of the day I picked up the Sophie & two NFL Jerseys for $3. I love LIV bodies for body swaps. Those jerseys will come in handy for either the ladies or a couple of guys. Next find I up 3 dolls and 2 books (not pictured) for $6. Not sure which Christie's or Teresa this is. I decided to answer Ms. Leo interview questions from   I Luv Dolls . Give it a try I'm interested in your answers too When did you start collecting dolls? Oddly enough I didn't start collecting dolls until my late 20's. My brothers had action figures (Star Wars, GI Joe). What was your first purchase as a collector ? My 1st purchase was Kelly Barbie's littlest sister in her crib. I guess we can say I loved the littlest one (at the time) first. How many dolls do you own? Really not sure at this point but figure I have over 300 Kelly & friends. My Fashion Royalty collection is about 130 - 150 at this point (I haven't inventoried lately). Creatable World Takeover

Has anyone noticed that Mattel's Creatable World has taken over? Well, I certainly have. So much so that I now own five of their deluxe packages that includes a doll.  They now have single doll packs, deluxe clothing packs, single clothing packs, and wigs too. The deluxe clothing packs have variations from the deluxe packages that includes a doll.  The eight deluxe doll sets Single clothing packs  Deluxe clothes pack  Deluxe clothing pack  Deluxe clothing pack  They have been spotted at Target so far. They may be at Wal-Mart too. I'm not sure.  Have you been seduced by Creatable World?
