Yuuka Is Here!!!

You may be saying ok who is Yuuka? The simple answer is the doll who won my heart :O) Her name is pronounced You-ka and it means Yuu means superior, gentleness and ka means flower or it means pleasantly scented depends on where you check..lol.

I saw her picture and had to have her. She is a OOAK former Colette designed by OSS Design. I emailed immediately to see if I can put her on layaway. She wasn't as much as I've seen some OOAK dolls go for but I went for it. She actually arrived yesterday and I am so thrilled. I have to get her a proper shoot. She's much prettier than my photos but I wanted her to be seen. The artist is DK Anderson and here's her website: www.onesixthsense.com

Flea Market Fun

I was talked into going to Englishtown (flea market) and boy am I glad I went. I wasn't enthusiastic at first since we were leaving  after noon which means all the good stuff is usually gone. I didn't take a ton of money but for about $20 I found some goodies I'm proud of.  My 1st find of the day I picked up the Sophie & two NFL Jerseys for $3. I love LIV bodies for body swaps. Those jerseys will come in handy for either the ladies or a couple of guys. Next find I up 3 dolls and 2 books (not pictured) for $6. Not sure which Christie's or Teresa this is. I decided to answer Ms. Leo interview questions from   I Luv Dolls . Give it a try I'm interested in your answers too When did you start collecting dolls? Oddly enough I didn't start collecting dolls until my late 20's. My brothers had action figures (Star Wars, GI Joe). What was your first purchase as a collector ? My 1st purchase was Kelly Barbie's littlest sister in her crib. I guess we can say I loved the littlest one (at the time) first. How many dolls do you own? Really not sure at this point but figure I have over 300 Kelly & friends. My Fashion Royalty collection is about 130 - 150 at this point (I haven't inventoried lately). I'm pretty sure Barbie & friends is about 350 or more (remember haven't inventoried in a while). Creatable World Takeover

Has anyone noticed that Mattel's Creatable World has taken over? Well, I certainly have. So much so that I now own five of their deluxe packages that includes a doll.  They now have single doll packs, deluxe clothing packs, single clothing packs, and wigs too. The deluxe clothing packs have variations from the deluxe packages that includes a doll.  The eight deluxe doll sets Single clothing packs  Deluxe clothes pack  Deluxe clothing pack  Deluxe clothing pack  They have been spotted at Target so far. They may be at Wal-Mart too. I'm not sure.  Have you been seduced by Creatable World?
